From Galileo to the SKA

April School Holidays Program.

Celebrate Galileo’s astronomical discoveries, come and try some of his original experiments. Find out about telescopes. Find out about radio-astronomy and the S.K.A.. Then make a Galilean telescope with real lenses to take home.

You can then explore the planets and the Moon as Galileo saw them!


When: Monday April 16 - Friday April 20
Time:  10.30 am or 1.30 pm (one and half hours program)
Where: Melville Discovery Centre, Melville Civic Centre.
Suitable: for persons aged 8 - 16+ years.
Cost: $8 per person.
