Sight is introduced through a range of illusions. The program covers the blind spot, colour vision and colour blindness, stereoscopic vision, persistence of vision and colour after-images.
This presentation also shows how various historic optical devices use lenses, flat mirrors, curved mirrors, apertures, photographic film, and light sources to produce images. The science involved in the design and use of each device will be explained. Students will have the opportunity to use many of these devices.
