Presentation with demonstration of some amazing light and sound inventions. The story of why they were invented is also told.

The inventions demonstrated include:
  • Theremin and the story of Leon Theremin and his 1930 invention,
  • Wire recorder - fore runner to the tape recorder (1948),
  • Invisible Typewriter by Remington (1894),
  • Edison Phonograph and the cylinder record (1905),
  • Holmes Bates stereoscopes (c1890) and stereo photographs
  • Carbon filament light globe and its invention (1879),
  • Logie Baird type mechanical television set (1930 design),
  • The telescope, and the reason it was invented.
  • and more.
Each of these inventions is demonstrated to the group and the science involved is explained.
