Students
will learn about the convicts
that came to Western Australia in the 1850s and 1860s. They will hear how some convicts escaped and became bush rangers. They will learn about the invention of morse code, and its importance in communications before the telephone and the radio. ******
Then, they will have to work in teams to help capture an escaped convict using morse code. This is a challenge most suited to upper primary pupils and middle school students. Reading skills are required. |
