program will cover the history of
motion picture technology. It will include:
- Persistence of vision
- Magic lantern projector
- Thaumotrope
- Phenakistoscope
- Zoetrope
- Mutoscope
- Kinetoscope
- Motion picture film
- Video images
- and more.
As an activity students will be challenged to make a
Thaumotrope and to
make a strip for a Zoetrope.
